PRESENTER BIO
Stuart is a Delaware transplant from South Carolina, having moved to the "first" state five years ago. A 3-sport student-athlete at Dutch Fork High School, he attended Lenoir-Rhyne University on academic and athletic scholarships, where he played football and earned a B.S. in Physics in 2012, graduating in just three years. Afterward, he took on various roles, including traveling custodian and produce associate at Publix.
In 2014, Stuart pursued Nuclear Engineering Technology at Midlands Technical College before joining Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) in Aiken, SC, as a laboratory assistant. He later became a scientist at SRNL before relocating to Delaware in 2019 to be closer to family. Now in his fourth year at Terumo Cardiovascular, Stuart works as an engineer specializing in injection molding and coaches basketball in Delaware.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and toddler (having recently returned from Paris), training for Team USA Deaf Basketball, where he won Gold in 2023 and Bronze in 2022. He also enjoys tackling DIY projects, such as renovating his basement, and is always looking for new ways to improve his home. Additionally, Stuart has recently discovered a newfound passion for playing pinball.
