PRESENTER BIO

Roselia M. Fichera-Lening, MA has been interpreting since 2002. She holds her bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language with a minor in Interpreting from Gardner-Webb University, Boiling Springs, North Carolina. She holds a Master of Arts in Interpreting Studies from Western Oregon University, Monmouth, Oregon.

Rose grew up on an agriculture farm in southern Florida where she was first introduced to ASL and graduated high school. She has enjoyed working in Washington D.C. government as a contract interpreter, as well as in North Carolina as a community and K-12 Interpreter. She now works at Blue Ridge Community College, Flat Rock, North Carolina, where she instructs in their Interpreter Education Program.
